  • Thank you Lucy for being a wonderful host. You made sure to meet us when we arrived and ensure we knew where everything was and how to use the hot tub. The Lodge was spotlessy clean and even more spacious than we anticipated with plenty of room in all the bedrooms for suitcases, bags etc. It was the ideal quiet retreat for us before and after our son's wedding. It will definitely be on our list for a family few nights away in the future.

  • We have just completed a family midweek stay (5 adults and a 7 year old) and we had a wonderful stay in this beautiful holiday home. I was amazed how spacious it was and we could all do our own thing without getting in each others way. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and had everything that you would possibly need for your stay. The outdoor table wear was a relief with a 7 year old. Loads of outdoor space and we even managed a barbeque one evening. Games and jigsaws, TV in all rooms just in case the weather is a bit iffy.. Lucy is amazing, so friendly helpful and a delightful cheery person.
    Great stay and I would highly recommend a stay here.

  • This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed at the Country Lodge Retreat with friends and it was just as wonderful as the 1st time. The accommodation is very spacious and spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need. The property has lots of room to park and is also ideal for people with mobility issues as it’s all on one level with no steps. Everything there has been very well thought out and the finishing touches are beautiful. It feels very homely. Lucy is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble for her. Thank you Lucy. I look forward to seeing you again when I visit again in August!

  • The Lodge is beautiful, everything you could wish for and more. We stayed whilst attending a family function at Sheephouse campsite, 5 mins walk up the hill. Would highly recommend both venues. Lucy was an excellent host.

  • The Lodge is beautiful, everything you need and more. We stayed with our family whilst attending a family ‘get together’ being held at Sheephouse campsite just a 5 minute walk away. Would highly recommend both venues. Lucy is a great host, very thoughtful and helpful.
